Process, Pricing & Documentation
How a Trade-Finance Enquiry Works
A clear, six-stage sequence from your first summary to issuance, with your confirmation required before anything is issued.
| Stage | What happens | Client involvement |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Receive transaction details | Collect the transaction summary and supporting documents. | Provide accurate information and identify the parties. |
| 2. Review commercial structure | Review transaction structure, documents and applicable compliance requirements. | Respond to questions and provide requested information. |
| 3. Prepare a draft | Prepare and share the proposed LC / SBLC draft where applicable. | Check whether the wording reflects the commercial agreement. |
| 4. Client approval | Obtain the client’s confirmation of the final draft wording. | Review carefully and approve or request changes. |
| 5. Settle applicable charges | Apply the agreed commercial terms and charges. | Confirm the fee basis and payment instructions through verified channels. |
| 6. Issuance | The relevant institution issues the instrument if approved and all requirements are met. | Retain final documents and follow the instrument terms. |
Commercial Terms
Pricing is case by case.
Pricing is determined case by case and may depend on transaction value, tenor, duration and overall transaction structure. Applicable charges are payable after you approve the final draft, and no instrument is issued until you have reviewed and confirmed the final wording.
Timing
Timing depends on document completeness, review, bank processing and transaction complexity. No fixed turnaround is promised.
Suggested document checklist
- Company / counterparty identification documents, requested through an approved channel.
- Underlying sales contract, purchase order, pro forma invoice or supply agreement.
- Description of goods or services and commercial purpose.
- Shipment or delivery schedule and relevant transport documents, where applicable.
- Requested instrument type, value, currency, tenor and validity period.
- Beneficiary’s wording, template or written requirements.
- Any additional documents requested by the relevant institution during review.
Document security
The public enquiry form collects only a brief transaction summary. Sensitive financial, identity or corporate documents are requested later through a verified, secure channel with restricted access and a clear retention policy. Always confirm payment instructions through verified channels.
Start with a brief summary.
Submission of an enquiry does not constitute approval or a commitment to issue an instrument.
